We recently migrated from google to Microsoft for a variety of reasons. Here are some of the reasons.

Price

Google is Slightly more expensive than Microsoft for the basic plan, but this is not the main reason for the switch, however. Google's plan starts at $6, Microsoft at $5. Although not significantly different, it matters as you scale and add more users to your team.

Features & Services

Microsoft beats google hands down, even in the basic business plan you have 1 TB of Onedrive storage in Microsoft. Overall offering is just too attractive at the price point. If you upgrade to Business standard or Business Premium you also get to use the office suite offline. Most things offered by google at Business Standard plan are offered in Business Basic by Microsoft.

License Management — Decision Maker

This is probably the most important reason for the switch, Microsoft allows us to pick custom licenses for individual users. This is very useful when you have a diverse team with diverse requirements, not every user requires access to offline version of the office. The ability to custom assign licenses is just perfect.
